Mark Kelly tried to buy an AR-15 in Tucson as a stunt to "show how easy it is." I'm sure his plan was to wave around the "scary gun" after he bought it and spout some anti-gun idiocy.
His plan failed with the gun shop refused the sale because of his suspicious behavior.
