Remember, originally in the Anthony Weiner scandal, he claimed to have been hacked? But then the truth came out, and Chuck Schumer’s protege and mini me was in deep doo doo.
Hacking seems to be the common excuse used in these sorts of situations.

As the explicit tweets garnered attention, Fort Bragg tweeted that the messages were not the work of our admins and that our account was hacked.
These people who claim their accounts were hacked never seem to understand what "hacked" means. Hint: it doesn't mean posting something you later regret.
