I trust my less political Canadian wife as a better judge of human nature than I am. I ran Rush’s speculation by her. She suggested that the risk for Hunter himself going to jail over the contents was greater than the relief he would get from exposing his father indirectly. The simpler, and more sensible explanation is that he’s a messed up drug addict who makes messes and up to now has been cleaned up after.
