I will never understand how a grown adult is not registered to vote. If you just turned 18, or in your early 20’s and it is not important to you then I understand.

But if you are 30 years old and still not registered, you are basically saying you don’t want to me an adult.

Is Pima or Mariposa the Arizona bellwether county?

Neither. Maricopa is almost alway republican and Pima invariably Democrat. Republicans didn’t even field a candidate for mayor for Tucson.

Both are by virtue of population. Pima has Tucson and Maricopa has Phoenix. Combined, they out vote the rest of the state by such a large margin that we are outliers.

Most of the kalifornians that abandoned their state have also moved to one of those cities mostly.

Given these numbers, can someone explain why Trump and Biden are close in AZ?

What makes you think they are?

I was delivering campaign literature on Sunday. A nice lady opened her door (with mask on) and politely refused to take the brochures, saying "We're Jehovah's Witnesses. We don't vote." I walked away scratching my head, having never heard the JW not voting thing before. Religious people not voting for religious freedom?? Weird.

This thread made me smile, thanks. As you know, I was worried about the Dems cutting into the GOP’s margin. Trump won AZ by 4.1 points, or about 85K votes. As of a few months ago the Dems had a net gain of over 50K votes - quite significant. Now the GOP has cut that Dem advantage (over 2016) to about 34K.
