It is absolutely impossible to National Review to be of value to a conservative. A shame, really. When I became a republican in 1994, one of the first things I did was start a subscription to National Review. I used to get the Weekly Standard, too. Those publications are bird-cage liner material now.

David, adultery, murder, disobedience to God.
Solomon practically defines the term “womanizer” and worshiped idols.
Hezekiah boasted about his wealth to the king of Babylon.
Jeremiah, What negative narrative he espoused!
Ezekiel, preached naked.
John the Baptiser went around condemning everybody to Hell.
Jesus sent a lot of time with disreputable people
St Paul, accessory to murder. He also appeared to be somewhat intolerant towards Jhhn-Mark.
St Peter, had a really foul mouth.
St John, was probably an epileptic and thus unfit for office
St Luke, he hung around with Paul.
Notice, many of these men actually wrote the Bible. They all had serious character flaws at least as bad as Donald Trump.

Old fart RINOs and Never Trumpers have been jumping ship for 4 years (while deluding themselves that Trump is a temporary mistake) and these fools actually believe that their old Repub Party will be there ready to resume the Bushes agenda and new world order. WRONG! Trump found the truth about us conservatives and campaigned to it in 2016. Close border, clean swamp, punish China, fix military, destroy ISS, improve economy, deregulate business, lower taxes, stop the silly climate change spending, withdraw from never-ending oil wars, fight fake news.... etc. We will NEVER go back to those pasty old Republicans and their corruptions. We now see how it’s done and we aren’t returning.

Wishful thinking. The GOP is structurally corrupt and has exactly zero interest in reform. Rotating in a few fresh faces isn’t going to change a thing. Reelecting China Mitch and Linda Grahmnesty will not result in new outcomes. The GOP is what it is. Sorry.
