Trump attempted to use congressionally authorized aid to Ukraine to get that country to start a major investigation into the Bidens, as he himself explained after it had become a controversy. It is a matter of public record that Trump encouraged Ukraines government to work with his personal lawyer, and that this lawyer had explained to it that he was working for Trump in his personal capacity rather than for the U.S. government.
When the opposing party in government is doing everything in it's power to thwart your every move to end the corruption, you either give up or revise your tactics. PDJT is not one to give up.
RAMESH PONNURU, you are willing to turn your gaze away from the corruption of the democrats for something "A little more Presidential". So, how much did you get for your soul?

Bloomberg, Ponnuru’s employer, is worth $60b. That “billion” with a “b”. The retard running NR into the ground, Rich Lowry, allowed Ponnuru to run this column in NR because he’s hoping that Bloomberg will, at some future point in time, consider hiring him. Bill Buckley is turning over in his grave.

He’s a typical GOP establishment idiot who prefers to complain when his party is out power. He prefers polite style over substance — he admits as much. He’d rather get continually rolled by Democrats and hope they are kind to him for being a nice guy.

[There is another possibility.
The Author may be praising President Trump with faint accusations.
Many people are going to read the column, be reminded of what President Trump has actually done, and have the same reaction which is occurring here.
The author is free from being accused of being a Trump supporter, gets paid, and keeps his high-paying Bloomberg position, is invited to the DC cocktail parties... etc.]
You might be right. This may be Ponnuru’s passive aggressive way of giving Michael Bloomberg the finger while going through the motions of kissing his ring.

Character Flaws.
Think this ponnuru dumbass (or whatever his stupid name is) needs to worry about the log in his own eye.
Hes all in for electing a Chines Agent President because Trump is brash...yeah right. If the Little Toobin told the truth, the reason hes against Trump is that hes paid to be against him...sort of like Joe (his guy) and China.

What an absolute moron you are Ponnuru. Sickening.

Yeah we need more conservatives like you Ramesh Ponnuru, dumb as they come. Oops, wait a minute we already have too many. Now go back to your Never-Trump cave and stay there idiot.

President Trump has delivered on some important issues. If Roe v. Wade is overturned in the next decade, his appointment of conservative justices will be a cause of a great advance in human rights. He signed a law that included some of the tax relief for parents Ive been advocating for 15 years, and eliminated the individual mandate that was the most objectionable feature of Obamacare. Whether were talking about religious liberty, school choice, or Title IX, Trumps policies are much better than those of Joe Biden. On many issues, Trump has far exceeded the expectations I had when he won the 2016 election.
Im still not voting for him."I got everything I could possibly hope for, but ORANGE MAN BAD!"

National Review struck out with their “Against Trump” issue four years ago and never recovered. I think their circulation will end up being the 5,000 professional conservative analysts and commentators and few others.

“it will own the country for the next 20 years”
Maybe, maybe not. Trump is an anomaly; there is no notable figure in the Republican party like him to take up the banner when he is done. Our “back bench” is not in as bad shape as the Democrats, but it’s only marginally better.
Perhaps Trump picks a great successor and we’re able to keep the momentum going, or perhaps we get 4-8 years of Pence doing a solid but unspectacular job, or maybe Pence doesn’t run, Trump endorses nobody, and we have a situation in 2024 like the Democrats had in 2016/2020 where the primary is just a clown car full of bad choices. Hard to say which way it will go.
