Trump's composure vs. Guthrie's almost maniacal hostility at NBC's Town Hall tells us this
Fox News ^ | October 17 2020 | Newt Gingrich

Anyone who still doubts that the elite media is out to destroy President Trump should watch his NBC town hall from Thursday night.

Savannah Guthrie, who moderated the event in Miami, was so hostile and irritating, it was really unbearable to watch her at times. She didn’t even pretend to be an objective journalist.

In stark contrast, President Trump was so calm, steady, and positive. It was one of his best performances. Indeed, he was presidential, not just a candidate seeking office. And despite — or perhaps because of — Guthrie’s almost maniacal hostility, President Trump’s composure should be encouraging to all Republicans and conservatives.

I suspect she may be one of those democrat satanic pedophiles she got all worked up over.

She was indeed maniacal. And Trump used her like a compliant foil.

Guthrie is now claiming that her mouth was hacked by an escaped mental patient.

It wasn’t a town hall meeting. It was a meeting in Savannah’s townhouse.

She couldn’t let him speak for ten seconds without some liberal cliche being spewed. The Karen lecture went nearly 10 minutes.

Like I said, that vile wench was successful in garnering thousands of undecided in Trumps column.........what a disgusting display of stupidity......I only wish the President hadn’t been so nice.....he could have had her drawers in the tightest wad ever and she’d have had to be taken off stage in her chair.....but he’s more mature than I...and smarter......;)

On her tweet announcing the debate a battle rages for and against. There's a lot of nutballs out there praising Guthrie. She has proudly updated her cover spew to say "Equal opportunity interrupter of non-answerers" even though she often interrupted without giving a chance to answer. We joke about Trump Derangement Syndrome but it's a real thing and somewhat disturbing.

The first time I watched it, I was so annoyed and dismayed by Savannah that I didn’t pay that much attention to his answers.

The second time, I watched both of them very closely. And Trump was masterful.

His real opponent is the media and this “Town Hall” where most of the time was him having to deal with Savannah and not the voters makes it so clear.

Scott Adams said the best part of Trump’s “wear a mask if you like; I’m fine with masks but their effectiveness is debatable” theme is persuasive—that all of us WANT to stop wearing masks soon, and Trump gives us a path forward, out of it.

I thought Guthrie was very combative towards President Trump during the town hall.

I listened to Trump’s rallies and public appearances on Friday. I was very impressed at how he was less standup comedian and more deliberate at explaining what he has done the past four years, and what he will do in the next four years.

At his stop with the seniors, he explained how the new healthcare would cover pre-existing conditions, and confirmed that he would never let anyone take their social security. He explained in detail a lot of the steps he has already taken to lower medical costs. His tone and demeanor was perfect.

I say this as a person who has been to dozens of the President’s rallies, and the patter is often similar, to encourage the base and maybe convince some new voters. He is now laying out his plans in detail, while showing that he has kept his promise about previous plans so as to convince the truly undecided.

Hiden Biden can never match the President as to details of his coming plans, because it would scare voters. For the undecided it is now do you trust an aggressive leader with a proven track record, or do you want to take a chance on a meek man who hides in his basement and tells the voters he doesn’t need to tell the details of what he will do if elected.

The recent #BidenCrimeFamily is just icing on the cake and a gift that will be coming every day.

It tells us that Trump should list the Democrap talking points that he will refuse to acknowledge.
Then he presents his talking points, starting with immigration.

The contrast between the two town halls was stunning. One looked like a baby’s playpen and the other looked like a gladiator pit.

Here’s the moderator’s choice of topics for Oct. 22 debacle.

The currently embattled Commission on Presidential Debates announced Friday that the candidates will discuss leadership, the coronavirus pandemic, issues of race, families, national security and climate change.

The President should advise the ‘moderator’ that he will not respond to the same topics previously presented by the ‘Commission’. Then he can list the topics he wants to address, and ask the audience at large if there are any questions on those topics. Like immigration. Economy. National Debt. Foreign influence in U.S. Government. Domestic interference of federal government by intelligence agencies.

And finish with the firing, live on national TV, of one of our favorite intelligence agency’s heads, like Wray. THAT, alone, would be worthy of a bowl of popcorn!
