That is the only reason I’m asking about the source. Can it be proven that the man in the photo is Hunter Biden? If not, should the photo be published on FR?

Nothing to do with Biden, the reason is that posting images/video of child exploitation is a big federal no-no. Just possessing it is - and they don’t send Chris Hansen around to discuss it.

Yes, I agree we need to be careful especially with this photo. I haven’t seen it anywhere at least under Hunter Biden.

Ok, I just did a DuckDuckGo search using the phrase, “this picture had to be cropped because the underage girl Hunter is sniffing his cocaine”.
The first hit says this:

I clicked on that link and it to me to a page that had a big huge description for terms of service to be allowed to enter. I don’t know anything about godlikeproductions.com, but it sounds nefarious to me. I’m not investigating anything further. I’m presuming it is not Hunter Biden.

Somebody on Twitter said that image was from a porn video at Pornhub - nothing to do with Biden - titled “Rayas del Patron”. Went there, searched the title and sure enough, that’s what it’s from. So, just another internet sucker-prank of the type Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit often falls for.
Looks like a port or shunt to me. Look up the unphotoshopped versions , not the fact check photo shopped versions where they have overlaid a “rosary.”
Look at the enlarged video captures from the debate.
Maybe you will be able to believe your own eyes.

According to one of the NY Post's articles the FBI had it in December 2019. They could have stopped the impeachment.

Given Hunter Biden’s reported fondness for cocaine, his answer would be,”oh, you mean I had a laptop?”
