COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — In a state known for its political shenanigans, the Senate race in South Carolina is living up to that reputation as campaigning between U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham and Democratic challenger Jaime Harrison enters its closing days.

This week, Harrison has been mounting a campaign to cleave voters from Graham and steer them toward a third, more conservative candidate, although that candidate is no longer actively running. The tactic could appeal to South Carolina voters who voted Graham in but have at times critiqued him as not conservative enough for the state

A sign that the Harrison campaign is in trouble or is Jamie just rubbing Linda's nose in it? I just want the incessant campaign ads to stop.

I hope the people of South Carolina are not stupid enough to fall for this.

dunno. I’m confident that a LOT of people at FR would go for this third party candidate sight unseen, even if it cost us the seat.

Graham is going to win. Trump is going to win North Carolina and Florida and Georgia and some other states where nonsense is going around that they are real battleground states.

Trump will win.

And we will keep the senate.

I guarantee it.

Any SC conservative who doesn’t vote for Graham is a fool. I don’t care how you feel about him. If you don’t support him then you’re betraying your fellow conservatives.

And that would leave the Dems to destroy the country and would stop President Trump in the back.

At this point in time, I’d swap Linda for https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_E._James (MI).

I am completely confident you are wrong. To possibly give the senate to Democrats while we have a Republican president that is for real and willing to nominate as many conservative judges as possible would be absurd and stupid.

The vast majority here are not absurd and stupid.

Take the idealistic stand another day.

One would have to be an ass to take that stand right now

Well,South Carolina...welcome to my world. It seems as if if you go for what appears to be the *best* candidate you'll wind up with the worst. That's what the worst candidate is hoping for.Don't be fooled.Graham ain't perfect but he's light years better than the Rat candidate.

Any Conservative, any American who does not recall the successful fraudulent campaign of Ross Perot (who just wanted to make sure that Bush the Elder was not re-elected out of pure spite) might do well to read up on it and the Clintonian damage to our fine Country as a result.

Third party = split vote = Dem walkaway.

That sounds like a viable strategy. Not!

Graham can improve his standing with conservatives by getting Amy Coney Barrett confirmed.

Actually, I believe the Constitution candidate recently withdrew from the Senate race and endorsed Graham.

Harrison is more left than Chuck Shumer(who is making sure he has all the money from outside SC he needs).. he would vote for every radical left wing agenda policy the Democrats could come up with.. like Trump says.. “other than that”

So true. It’s amazing how many people will do that. We’re all worse off for it but they’ve got a point to prove. It may cost jobs. It may cost freedoms. It may cost lives. But they’ve got integrity and they are not willing to compromise.
