You seem knowledgeable. Can states bypass these laws by passing state laws on non interstate equipment. For example, can a state legalize mufflers manufactured in the state as long as they don’t leave the state or for sale outside the state.
I want to push states to pass hearing protection acts. Legalize mufflers.
They have done so with illegal drugs. So I don’t see why not. Except that the .gov doesn’t care about drugs (except to raise money). It does care about guns.
