Trump campaign canceling ads in Ohio and Iowa

President Trump’s campaign is canceling planned television ads in Ohio and Iowa for this week to instead focus funding in states where polls show the president trailing Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

The president’s reelection campaign canceled $2.5 million in ads in Ohio and $820,000 in ads in Iowa, according to ad-tracking firm CMAG, CNN reported Monday.

This week will be the third week in a row without Trump TV ads in the two Midwestern states as polls show a deadlocked race between Trump and Biden.

A Sunday CBS-YouGov poll determined the candidates were tied in Ohio at 47 percent each, and a New York Times-Siena College poll late last month showed Biden at 45 percent and Trump at 42 percent in Iowa.

Trump campaign spokesperson Samantha Zager told The Hill that the campaign canceled the ad reservations out of certainty he will win both states.

There is another poll for Ohio (internal) that has Trump higher than Trafalgar. In Iowa same pollster has Trump up by 12% and Ernst up by 13%.

That lead is within the margin of fraud.

Too bad Team Trump spent $800 million on ads before the poop hit the whirligig.

Yes. Read it in between the lines.

If he is pulling money to focus on states where he is behind, it necessarily means that here he must be ahead.

Logic is your friend.

These polls! The Cook report just changed Ohio & Iowa to tossup from Lean Republican. Best just to ignore ‘em all.

Truly maddening that Biden is polling better in Ohio than Hillary actually received in 2016.

The Cook Report wants Trump to waste money on states he's already got in the bag.
Trump will make a few campaign stops in the two states final weeks of October if needed.

Is it just for this week? Ahead or not, Ohio’s an important state. They’re all important, really.

If he is that far up in Ohio, then basically he’s got a cakewalk to 271.

Trump won Ohio by 8.1% in 2016. It wasn’t even close despite the polls saying it was close.

I live in Cincinnati/Hamiton county where the Democrat signs dominate. Sundays, for my sanity, i take the B out for cruises in Butler, Warren amd Clermont County. Trump country. It calms me down.
