Iowa pre-filled absentee ballot applications allowed by judge

An Iowa judge sided with county auditors who said pre-filled absentee ballot request forms can be sent to registered voters.

Iowa District Court Judge Robert Hanson on Monday issued an emergency stay, siding with Democrats, against a directive issued this past summer by Secretary of State Paul Pate, a Republican, that allowed only blank absentee ballot applications.

“It completely escapes this court how the fairness and uniformity of the absentee ballot-application process could possibly be threatened by allowing county auditors to simply continue practices they had been following for some time,” Hanson said, according to Bloomberg.

This election is a joke. They purposely are going to screw it all up and turn it to chaos.

We already have heard about the fraud committed prior to this election. It should be postponed and reset until the corruption is eliminated.

The ruling by the SCOTUS yesterday in South Carolina and Maine earlier set the legal precedent that all of this ballot harvesting schemes are in trouble.

Appeal and get a stay. Must follow the law. Trump Team keeps winning these. Forcing them to follow the law and not make it up. The democrat ballot gambit may go totally up in smoke.

“This election is a joke. They purposely are going to screw it all up and turn it to chaos.“

.... That’s been the Leftists’ plan all along. They know they can’t win a fair election, so they cheat, and cheat, and cheat. Traitors, all of them.

Gee. The democrats could have kept Jim Crow if they had just used that argument. ;)

So a Democrat requests an absentee ballot and gets one with all the Dem choices already checked, do I have that right? They have no chance to change if, heaven forbid, they might have decided to vote for Trump?? Definitely time to go up to the appeals court.

OK, I'm confused. After reading the article (I know, how un-FR of me) I came away with the notion that the absentee ballot REQUEST was sent with information already filled in. That would mean the voter's name and address. Not talking about the ballot itself or the votes therein.

Methinks some people are confusing addressing with balloting.

Color me (can I still say this?) confused as well, badly written article I think. But I think even with your explanation there is reason to object here.

With a pre-filled 'header' on the REQUEST for an absentee ballot, a malicious party has an easy return with no research as to proper filling versus doing it with a blank request. How much increased effort does it require from the perspective voter to fill-in the proper info here? Say there is a malicious intercept but then (speculate) the voter has moved yet the county gets a 'proper' request for the absentee ballot.

YES, I can see the need for the request to be BLANK, just some added security!

It is rather obvious that the voters are too stupid to fill out the requests for themselves.

Later, we will find that the voters are too stupid to fill out the ballot correctly and they will be filled in as well.

Idiot voter:

“can you please send me a pre-filled absentee ballot?”

County Auditor:

“Yes”

County Commissioners deliberating on the annual budget:

“Can the Auditor please explain why they need a budget increase to cover the cost of mailing for pre-filled ballots? Please explain what is the purpose to send out a pre-filled ballot just so the requester can then just send it back in? In essence why are we wasting taxpayers money to subsidize some person who is too lazy and stupid to vote in-person or to mark their own damn ballot?”

Take their names. Find their addresses and pictures. And get ready to do something, on your own. Tell no one.

The more this insanity is documented the harder it will be for the Supreme Court to rule that its legal and should stand.

Even Roberts can’t invent something with his twisted logic....
