Armenia has a defense treaty with Russia.

That means when it’s all said and done, they win.

Almost universally, when Russia commits to defend they honor it. They consider it a strategic advantage.

“...concern regarding the sending of Syrian mercenaries by Turkey to Nagorno-Karabakh.”

This is what happens with irregular mercenary infantry: As 1 war winds down (Syria), the next one ramps up. Turkey probably feels that it’s in their national security interests to keep those Syrians in it’s employ else THEY might be fighting against Turkish interests somewhere and for somebody else.
