COVID-19 can be truly nasty. In January i was fine. By April, I was seeing a pulmonologist for cracked glass lungs.
Over the next few weeks, I am going to resign my position because I can no longer keep up. I have an 80% chance of surviving at least the next 4 years; meanwhile I have a freshman in high school.

I kind of hope they gave him some steroids early on or did a CT of his lungs but of course bad things can happen down the road.

Ouch. Permanent lung damage? If yes, it must be even worse that what my brother suffered from necrotic pneumonia as a flu complication. (He basically lost all of one lung, and part of the other, leaving him with 1/3 normal lung function when all was said and done.) Yet he soldiers on as a fairly active assistant restaurant manager.)

ANYBODY could and can catch this, just by going to the grocery store - and eventually, MOST of us are probably going to catch it.
Trump has fearlessly put himself in front of huge crowds - because THEY wanted and needed to see him. He has also, by necessity, been associated with many people during everyday routine in the White House.
There is no way of knowing how he was infected - it could have happened in a thousand ordinary ways - no ‘conspiracy’ required.
Just pray for his recovery, and quit injecting imaginal ‘conspiracy theories’ into the issue.
