How did Trump do this? It was Biden who brought the Proud Boys up by name in the debate.
Has Biden condemned white supremacy?
It may be ignorant to throw in the Proud Boys a small group began as a joke among a bunch of guys who like to go to a bar and have a few pops but it’s not worth leaving it open for more attacks.
The Proud Boys will go out and defend themselves to the media and maybe there will be some legal saber rattling.
Stomping on this BS yet again is what’s best for President Trump. Let’s move on.
This excerpt had two obviously false statements.
First, that he “failed” to outright denounce White Supremacists” on tuesday. When he was asked, he immediately said SURE. He was asked AGAIN, and said SURE. Then bizarrely Biden started shouting “then do it, say it, do it”, as if in order to condemn someone, it wasn’t enough to say “YES” or “SURE” when asked, do you condemn them, but you have to repeat the mantra.
What he stumbled on was a trick Wallace tried to play. When Trump asked Wallace to name an actual organization committing violence, so he could condemn that organization, Wallace actually said the “right-wing”. Wallace wanted to get Trump to defend the entire conservative wing of his party.
THe second was that Trump is “forced into” the condemnation. But TWO TIMES he gave speeches with clear condemnations, including his first speech after Charlottesville, and a major address later about the incident. Neither of those were responses to questions.
I heard Hannity and Trump didn’t condemn the Proud Boys. He condemned that there should be violence. He said the police are the only authority and Antifa and Proud Boys have to listen to them..
I truly hate that the GOP kowtows to the left particularly on this issue. The hypocrisy and blatant race BS from the left is monumental yet here we are the right is disavowing and acting apologetic(being weak)and on top of that it will NEVER be enough. This is why Marxist exploit and use race as a battering ram. It works. Its no wonder the right is always on its heels.
I wonder if the Blacks and Hispanics in ‘Proud Boys’ know that they are “white supremacists”?
No we are not going to move on. He should not make statements pushed on by the Left without any knowledge what so ever. He needs black support. He should start listening to people like Candace Owens and discipline himself at least a little more like Keleigh McEnany. He is allowing the Left to manipulate him which wasn’t like him.
Trump was born and raised in NY City. You can’t really blame him for being ignorant of the rest of the country— he’s a northerner, through and through. I can vote for people like that, I just can’t get real excited about it. When the fund raisers call, they get the message.

This entire thing is a concoction of Leftists who hate a small obscure group who dares to stand up to Antifa and give them the middle finger.
President Trump doesn’t gain anything by aligning with it but can be assaulted with more BS.

Trump's base are conservatives, mostly Christians, who do not consider themselves (ourselves) to be racists or supremacists and don't like being called that.
On the Proud Boys, if I remember correctly, Trump's words were to "stand back and stand by" -- it was the "stand by" which got Trump in hot water, because it suggests he might want them to stand up for him later.
As for condemning Proud Boys, Trump said he didn't know much about them, almost nothing, but he condemns white supremacists, assuming they are.
Are they?
Well, if one just dared to do a little research (this includes Trump and his staff), they’d notice things like ethnic diversity in online photos.
The International Chairman of the Group is Enrique Tarrio of Afro-Cuban ethnicity. Given his ethnic background, I’d say it would be pretty tough to rise to the position of Chairman if the group were of a White Supremist philosophy.
He just needed to take 10 seconds during the debate to condemn white supremacy for the umpteenth time. By not going so, he gave the media a big win.
He should know by now.
All this is now coming up because Trump is making serious inroads into the black and Latino voters and dems are scared spitless.
No, he doesn’t need to grovel any more. I’m tired of groveling everytime some milquetoast Leftist tells us we have to repent. His apology of “Sure, I’m willing....” is easily enough...there’s no need for us to be political simps about it.
Its not groveling, it’s an opportunity for the President to shine. They only asked hoping he would decline so they could create a media firestorm.
