Chancellor Merkel Wishes President Trump a Speedy Recovery

Since Friday morning, Angela Merkel has sent recovery wishes to Donald Trump twice. According to a government spokeslady, there has not been direct communication between the two heads of government since the news about Trump’s Corona infection broke.

During a press conference in Brussels, where Chancellor Merkel is part of the E.U. summit, she said she wished U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife Melania “a speedy recovery”. It was important to her to express those wishes, she stated.

So far there is nothing to recover from. Getting into a car is not the same thing as getting into an auto accident, and testing positive for a virus is not the same as getting symptoms from it.

What is so damned hard about understanding that testing positive is not the same as actually having the disease? All testing positive means is that you were exposed to the virus and have antibodies in your system. But pretty much everyone in government and media have conflated the two to claim that a positive test is a “case” to the point most people do not know the difference. The President and First Lady are asymptomatic which means that at present they are not sick. The chance of getting sick is small.

It's been many,many years since I've had the flu and quite a while since I've had a cold. But I remember that with a cold you feel a bit bad on the first day and the worst day,in terms of symptoms,is the third or fourth day.Then you slowly start feeling better.

My daughter and her husband had it. They showed minor symptoms for about a week and then were over it. We’re visiting them tomorrow and Sunday, spending the night.

The weird part was losing their sense of taste.

And other reporting (such as it is these days) say he has no symptoms. So I believe only what comes directly from the President and his team.

The statistics obtained so far indicate that the real danger is being over 70 or having certain conditions...diabetes,respiratory disease,etc.Others are,99% of the time,known to be like your daughter and son-in-law.
