I seriously doubt IF there will be any more debates, other than (perhaps) the VPOTUS one.

More “Presidential” debates cannot happen anymore since lying and propaganda has become the norm. Also used to be the moderator didn’t involve himself in the debate to help one side over the other.

While I do agree that Trump was pressing hard, the questions were pointedly tilted against Trump. Trump is asked about taxes but Biden is completely spared about profiting while in office. Biden was not pressed on ANY question. Wallace should have made Biden answer the question about packing the court.

Agree. I only listened to about the first 10 minutes and Trump may have won the optics, but by sound only he sounded surprisingly unpresidential and almost belligerent in tone. I don’t know if that would have helped with the half-dozen (probably suburban mom) watchers who were genuinely undecided at this point.

Trump was pugnacious and not having it with Biden, which energizes the Trump base. At the same time he forced Biden to de-energize his base.
He goaded Biden into disowning the Green New Deal, which the Biden campaign website embraces. He turned around the white supremacy issue on Wallace and Biden until Biden ludicrously declared ANTIFA to be only an “idea”, which was the biggest howler of the night.
In this jungle world, “Presidential” is not synonymous with “genteel” or “scholarly”, and it has nothing to do with Roberts Rules of Order. In this world, the President of the United States has to be apex predator, or we all get rolled. Trump is a man who found his place in history.

In other words Trump should just allow Biden to lie and act “above it all”? You say “you would love to believe this (twitter poll)”. Is twitter considered Right Wing? Telemundo also ran a poll after the debate and the Hispanics voting gave the debate to Trump by some 40 points...are they lying also?
Personally I’m fed up with us being “not like them” and thereby being dumped on and lied about without consequences for them.
Trump has it right and he said from the very start he was a “counter puncher” and when attacked would hit back twice as hard.
