Blacks in NC tend to vote in large numbers during their “Souls to the Polls” events.

I wonder if Black churches are planning to do that again this year. Anyone know?

Churches in NC mostly open?

I think churches are still largely shut down in NC by the Governor. If they are not officially shut down, they are effectively shut down in the black community. There is zero way that older black women are piling into a church bus to vote. The fear of the China Virus is palpable. Also, notably, of the mail in ballots, the black voters are largely folks who voted in-person early in 2016 (souls to the polls). That’s why I think the untold story of the election will be the drop off in black voting. Fear of China Virus, no enthusiasm for Biden, and black men are largely ok with Trump, even though most won’t vote for him.
