In California, the ‘activists’ started ‘helping people vote’ in 2008. We had the same polling people for years and suddenly, in 2008, they were all young Blacks working at my ‘new’ polling station. We had previously had elderly White people and voted in the same place for years. In 2008, new young people and new voting place. There was a table where one young ‘activist’ was helping a really elderly White lady vote.......filling out the ballot. Our R Congressman had a worker sitting outside the polling place, a half block away, and she was asking if the voting experience this year was different from previous Years. I told her ‘it sure as He** was’! I cannot prove anything nefarious and we moved out of state the next year. But it was just creepy.
In 2008, the creepiness was off the scale for me, at my regular polling place. The electioneering outside was over the top, in your face, blatant.
I won’t know if it’s the same polling place, or different, until the ballots are sent out early next month. I hope nothing is radically different this time. Generally the people who show up at my regular polling place are a serious lot, very organized and polite and quiet.

How will Covid affect the activists this year? Oh that’s right, it’s OK for them to cluster in packs so the can go riot, so they can do the same with their vote harvesting. I’m thinking some of the illegal migrant farmworkers will be targeted as needing “special help” in filling out their ballots this year.
