Went to a million parties and clubs in my late teens and my 20s.

The only time someone got shot was after hours when it was found out that the owner of the club was sleeping with a mob boss.

They had the decency to kill him and leave him in the bathroom after the club closed and everyone was gone.

A lot of the parties were held by gangsters’ kids and a lot of the clubs were owned by gangsters.

Never one shootout.

I too went to many clubs, concerts and parties in my youth
not one shooting and not any fights either. We just had a fun time.

When I see the rioters as of late it takes me back to when I was there age and just the fun things I did and feel sorry for them that this is what they choose to do with their time burn loot and riot it’s pathetic.

Doesn't it usually work the other way? That is, you get shot for moving in on someone sleeping with the mob boss? The one sleeping with him is protected unless she "cheats" on him.

Yep - wife used to work in one of those clubs in Ohio...the boss liked her “moxie” and ensured everyone knew she was “hands off”...a year after she left the place, he was arrested for arson and murder.

I went to HS with Frank Valenti’s daughters I want to say Mona and Karen - Mona for sure but “Karen” may be wrong
