Roughly a quarter of childless adults say climate change is a factor in their decision not to have children, according to a Monday poll from Morning Consult.
Eleven percent of those surveyed said climate change was a major reason they would not have children, while 15 percent said it was a minor reason.
Climate change rated behind other issues such as the economy, general political concerns, and career plans when it came to the decision to reproduce, but the poll shows the existential threat is weighing on peoples’ minds when it comes to family planning.
Those figures were starker for minorities, with 40 percent of Hispanic and 30 percent on Black respondents saying climate change factored into their decision compared to 23 percent of white respondents.
Younger respondents also reported climate change weighed more heavily on their decision, with 37 percent of Generation Z and 34 percent of millennials saying climate change was either a major or minor factor in their decision to have children.

I am the father of five, and think this decision by these people is fantastic. Do we really want people that ignorant raising children?

I’ve heard climate change means we’re all dead in 10-12 years. This fact makes procreation an act without consequence. So we all should get at it.
1. My parents were terrible.
2. Marriage laws
3. I like being able to do what I want, when I want.
4. I hate kids.
Are Freepers still happy about this if the net result is an increase in abortions among the left? Tough one, right?
If we did a Venn diagram, I think we would see a big overlap, between liberals, and those who fear climate change so much that they won’t have children. So just in general, liberals will have fewer children due to their fears.

I’m not wild about kids in general.
All the built in problems I have, I would rather not have an innocent child go through bouts of misery like I have. Pretty much 0 concern from family and medical establishment. The local school district seemed to go out of their way to make me miserable as well.
The spouse is not big on kids either.
There are a couple of nieces and a nephew.
