She’s hoping that because of ‘irregularities” in voting, or in counting the vote, or because of legal actions, some states can’t certify their final tallies by the the electoral deadline, which is sometime in December I believe. Therefore no candidate gets the required electoral college votes, and it goes to the House for some kind of vote.

Yes, that is the logic. The democrats are planning on so thoroughly fouling up the election itself, then fouling up the appeals, then fouling up the Electoral College selection and verification, then fouling up the House Vote .....

And of course, we could just read the article:
It seems almost certain that neither party will accept a close result in the presidential election on November 3. And given the likely delays due to vote-by-mail, recounts, and legal challenges, it is possible neither President Donald Trump nor former Vice President Joe Biden will have an Electoral College majority by December 14, when the Electors cast their votes.

That situation wouldn't affect it. Any State that fails to certify electors, brings the total number of appointed electors down, meaning the numerical majority to win election is lowered as well. The only way this would hurt Trump is if those States went for Trump, and Dems force their electors not to be appointed.
