Would be pretty easy for the police to quickly realize the wife a lying and he was not aggressively barricading himself in a house threatening self-harm once they arrived then.... but instead they took him to the hospital after they arrived at the house. Police don’t take you to the hospital if they don’t evaluate you as having a credible threat of self-harm.
