if he knows he is going to win both states, why in the world would he waste valuable resources campaigning there...?
Trump’s rallies are nationally broadcast or available live online. And while Democrats attempt to push a narrative that North Carolina is a swing state, it has been reliably Republican when voting for president and Virginia, especially with the anti 2A stance of the current governor and legislature, is primed to go Trump. At this stage in the game, it is about vote totals and Trump will win by a wide margin nationally.
Because it keeps Dems putting money there (where they wouldn’t if Trump was holding huge rallies there) and reduces money in other places like PA, WI, MI. Also his running well in MN, NV and NH does the same.
