Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney on Thursday joined Republican and Democratic legislators in criticizing President Donald Trump's comment about whether he would commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he loses the Nov. 3 presidential election.
Trump told reporters on Wednesday that he would “have to see what happens" when asked about whether he’d commit to a peaceful transfer of power.
Thursday morning, Cheney responded to the comment in a tweet:
"The peaceful transfer of power is enshrined in our Constitution and fundamental to the survival of our Republic. America’s leaders swear an oath to the Constitution. We will uphold that oath," Cheney wrote.
She is the Chairwoman of the House Republican Conference, the third-ranking Republican in the House of Representatives.

My point is what you see as being undisciplined is actually well thought out strategy honed by years of communicating with the American People. You simply don’t understand what he’s doing. And that’s how it always is, those who don’t understand the strategy try to show their knowledge by criticizing that which escapes them. There is ONLY ONE administration that DIDN’T transfer power peacefully. That was the last one, Obama Biden, they used every Dept of the Government, FBI, Treasury, etc., in a coup attempt.

His coronavirus press conferences showed how he can be undisciplined, and how it can hurt He had to stop them because polls showed he was turning off older voters among his base who are scared about the virus. They wanted reassurance and facts, he came out and riffed. Like the time he ad-libbed about bleach. He should have had a well crafted message, prepared ahead of time. And he should have had a team on stage that was on the same page as him, not publicly arguing with him like Fauci and scarf.

Hillary Clinton told Biden not to concede under any circumstances. That’s the story. But not for the liberal/socialist prestitudes. The story is, will President Trump go along with an orderly transition of power. The premise is he loses to Biden. President Trump is looking at his internal polls and, as against Hillary, he is beating Biden. The real question is for Biden. Will he call off the rioting when he loses? Let him answer that. I’m know which question Chris Wallace will ask. President Trumps answer should be to turn it on Biden and ask him if the riots will cease after November 3rd.
