Some have said ACB’s hyphenated last name gives them pause. (Dad’s name is Coney). On the other hand, Lagoa never changed her last name to Huck. Whether that’s feminism in action or an attempt to capitalize on racial quotas, it doesn’t smell right from a conservative standpoint. Re political connections, however, Lagoa’s FIL was a Clinton appointee, but hubby is a prominent member of the Federalist Society, and Lagoa herself is a 20+ year member.
