Wisconsin appeals court decision, insists absentee ballots received after Election Day should not be counted

A federal judge ruled earlier this week to extend the cutoff to count absentee ballots by six days after the election, but the decision is being appealed by the GOP-controlled Wisconsin Legislature and is expected to make its way all the way up to the U.S. Supreme Court.

U.S. District Judge William Conley's decision came Monday after Democrats argued that an extension was needed to accommodate for the influx of voters requesting mail-in ballots, and allow them time to both receive and send back their votes just five weeks before the election.

Republicans have said there is more than enough time for absentee voters to arrange for their ballots to be submitted by the original cutoff of 8 p.m. on Election Day, and Wisconsin's GOP leaders said Wednesday they plan to ask the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to put the ruling on hold pending appeal.

Are judges going to follow the law, or make up their own law?

Arizona:

Your ballot-by-mail must be received by county election officials by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. If you are going to mail back your ballot-by-mail for the General Election, we recommend you do so by October 27, 2020.

Otherwise, you should take your ballot to any ballot drop-off location or voting location in your county by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

Arizona:

Drop off your ballot: You may drop off your ballot at any ballot drop-box, drop-off location, early voting location, or Election Day voting location in your county on or before Election Day. Find all voting and drop off locations on your county’s website. Ballots must be received by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

The Republican legislatures of Michigan and Pennsylvania need to follow suit and appeal their Dem Supreme courts political decision to extend the time up to 2 weeks after the election to receive ballots. Eventually all three battleground states will get reversed in the Supreme Court. If this election is stolen, it will be those 3 battlegrounds where it will be stolen with mail in ballots chicanery

You would think this is easy.

But a huge percent of ballots will be tossed because people are idiots who cannot follow instructions.

The Democrats will come back time and again with “found” ballots because it is so difficult touring the ballots from one place to another.

We should start a thread with the excuses that will be used.

The date is arbitrary, but once selected - Nov 3, let’s abide by it.

Otherwise, might as well set Nov 9 (3+6 days) as “election day”. I’d be fine with physically going to the polls on Nov 9 instead of Nov 3, as long as it was the final day for post-marks and mail-in ballots.

Yet another reason to skip the charade of a hearing and vote to confirm Trump's SCOTUS nomination, whoever it turns out to be. Do it NOW.

How about, “My dog ate the postman” for starters?

This whole issue is on track to be decided by SCOTUS before the election. Perhaps 5-4 with the justice Trump is about to nominate the tie-breaker.

We need to be prepared for the Leftist megatantrum sure to follow.

A political tactic called “muddy the waters” has been in full speed play.

Absentee ballots (that use the postal system) are not mail in ballots (that use the postal system). They are being considered the same by the left. Chain of custody and voter integrity are paramount with absentee ballots. There is NOTHING with mail in ballots but a signature.

You are correct but Linda is going to give the rats 4 or 5 days for their circus. The rats goal is to get vote moved past the election.

What a stupid title. It makes it sound like an appeals court had already ruled in our favor.

Not so. The process of collecting and verifying the ballots is the same.

The only difference is in some states the absentee ballots have to be requested and in others they're mailed to all registered voters.

The Wi SC is still 5-4 Republican so the rats went to a federal hack Judge bypassing the Wi court. So now it will be up to a 4-4 SC which would mean the Judge’s ruling will stand. In Mi a lower state court extended vote counting two weeks after the election. The Mi SC is also 5-4 Republican but the Mi GOP as fas as I know hasn’t appealed to them. Why l cannot imagine.

There is NOTHING with mail in ballots but a signature.

Which no longer needs to be checked in PA, according to their State Judges orders.

What could possibly go wrong with that?
