There used to be a pinned thread or something with "how to" type stuff. The text window accepts basic html commands. They have a bunch of stuff filtered out, so if a bit of code doesn't work... It'll just display as plain text or not at all.

Just be sure to close your tags. In early iterations of the board software, leaving italics, bold, strike through, etc... Would leave that command applied until someone else closed the tag... It was annoying and is the origin of someone posting and leaving their Italians running...

I think there is now board code that autocloses any open tags...
