That’s not a problem with the Electoral College, but rather how all but two states have chosen to allocate their Electoral votes: winner take all. Two states, both small have chosen to award Electoral votes by who wins each Congressional district. Makes more sense but will never be fixed.

Anyone seriously think that California, whose voting laws mean that in many cases Republicans cannot even appear on the ballot is going deprive the dem candidate of all its Electoral votes?
