Convicts say what they think the parole board wants to hear. I’m surprised Cuomo hasn’t commuted his sentence yet.

A former co-worker went to a Paul McCartney concert in Chicago a few years ago, and she said he puts on a fantastic show. He’s indefatigable; went on for almost 4 hours with just a few short breaks.

>>And at least Chapman displays more common sense that your average liberal.

Bernie Sanders thinks Mark David Chapman should be able to vote.

If he was a jailbird in Vermont, then I think he could. They and the state of Maine allow jailbirds to vote on the theory that doing so makes them feel more connected to society.

You can look it. However, I don't think this applies if the jailbird is registered in some other state.

Bernie Sanders believes all felons should be able to vote, regardless of crime. Rape, murder, terrorism, hate crimes in the commission of the previous 3...

He doesn’t just urge it for one state. He believes nationwide and he would campaign for their votes/support.

You may not like them, but they certainly have not reached their expiration date and may never do so.

Eventually modern English will be as unintelligible as ancient Sumerian.

At that point I think their music will be as expired as they are.

In My Life begs to differ with you...for starters.

A lot of the rancor here is for his early hippie days and the insipid song Imagine and not for the musical genius he shared with Paul McCartney. The Beatles were very much greater than the sum of their parts.

As to Lennon, however, I recently saw a documentary where they interviewed his last personal assistant. A young lefty who was complaining that John was becoming conservative who even bashed his own Imagine as being silly and naive.

Lennon was forty when he died. I, myself, did not shake off the blinders of liberalism until the night Ted Kennedy and Joe Biden attempted their high tech lynching of Clarence Thomas.

I was 39. So I can easily see Lennon following the same route so many have taken who were had a heart at 20 and a brain at 40.

Heck, he might have grown to become a Freeper himself.

Did NY have a death penalty at the time?

His voice is pretty much shot, but nobody really cares because they’re singing along anyway.

I was referencing yesterday how Lennon and Reagan met each other while waiting for be interviewed on Monday Night Football.

Reagan had his arm around John while explaining to him the rules of American football.

Which might explain why Yoko wasn't shot, if you catch my drift.

At that point I think their music will be as expired as they are.

I don't speak German and still listen to Beethoven, Bach, and Mozart.

IMO there will be three purveyors of music from the 20th century who will last through the ages as the above three are:

The Beatles
George Gershwin
Hank Williams
