The human body needs meats and fats to function properly. They want people stupid.
The amount of carbon released into the atmosphere when a cow eats grass is exactly the same as when the grass dies and is eaten by soil bacteria.
Ditto with trees.
Forests aren’t carbon sinks, they’re carbon stores. When the tree dies, it releases just as much carbon as it absorbed.
In any mature ecosystem, the net carbon absorption is zero.
The only exception is the ocean, where carbon sinks to the deeps.
Hey, I’ve got no problem with gulping
down a 1-1/2” thick ribeye when it’s
104 deg outside. A baked potato,
smothered with sour cream and butter, and
a salad slathered with blue cheese dressing,
compliments the steak. And to wash it all
down, a mug of icy cold Sam Adams Boston
Lager. 30 minutes later, I’m ready for
the apple pie (still warm), with vanilla
ice cream. This is America.
After a heavy night of “demonstrating,” I’d think you’d want some stick to your ribs food rather than an all-veg diet.
Besides, after they trash the city and free all the cattle, they’ll probably find some excuse to burn the farms, because they use too much petroleum in capitalist industrial farming. Then we can go out into the killing fields to hoe and harvest by hand.
