This was a fantastic invention and is probably used by every single American. I bought my first Gore-Tex raincoat about 1978.

They also now make the “bag” part of bagpipes out of Gore-Tex nowadays, for which I am grateful.

They also invented coated guitar strings, sold under the brand Elixir, which I use exclusively. I have been to the factory in Elkton, MD.
