This timing is terrible. I don't see how there's time to vet, appoint, hold hearings and confirm in less than 60 days? If the Dems take the Senate would a lame duck majority confirm in December or January? Lots of problems to work through.
Would Biden go on record now as to who he would appoint? Make the election a referendum on SCOTUS? Wow.

I don’t think Mitch can get the votes now. No matter how hard he may try.
Last I heard Mitch did say he would try to pass a Trump SC nominee if one came up this year.
Maybe someone “moderate” could get approved.
That’d be a huge improvement, but maybe we should wait on the hope there’s a more conservative Senate?
I don’t know.

McConnell and Graham are both up for re-election in November.
Graham heads the Judiciary Committee, but is losing Independents in South Carolina who have lost faith in him.
Graham needs something bold and drastic to rehabilitate his image at home, and this COULD be it, if he has the backbone to follow through.
McConnell runs the Senate and has been strong on judges, but he's now running a race at home.
I'd like to believe that these two can get it done, ramming through an appointment in the next 45 days the way that the Democrats would regardless of what the MSM says about it.
How fast will the Democrats gin up the riot machine if President Trump makes a nomination and McConnell and Graham move at light speed to get it done?

There will be 30 days of national mourning and the GOP senators are going to be fighting for their lives.
The GOP senators who are in the most danger are from states where baby killing is popular.
This is bad no matter how you slice it.
