That makes it 50. Then Vice President Pence cast the tiebreaking vote.

Yep, It can be done, and I think they will do it. The court is very important to McConnell. He won’t let this opportunity go, if there is any chance of getting it done.

In the last few days Rush has mentioned that Trump is very happy and relaxed as he campaigns, as if he knows something good is happening. Maybe he knew she was very close to passing.

It is a glass half empty vs glass half full situation. President Trump and McConnel need to push this thing through immediately. The Democrats will be going out of their minds and showing their true colors. This will help keep them too distracted to focus on anything else. It will be a challenge, but it may do more to help win this election for President Trump and gain seats in the Senate and House than any other event could. Considering her failing health... plans should already be in place, if properly executed a victory on this will carry over into the election. The sore losers on the other side will be stunned.

What a coincidence. Earlier today I posted that McConnell had been the most effective Rep Majority Leader in modern times. He is far more shrewd and focused on the long game than he gets credit for. You better believe he will get a Trump nominee pushed through.

Mitch can do this! Let Romney, Collins and Murkowski drop. That gets us to 50-50 lets Pence decide. All Mitch has to do is slap Graham around. Shouldn’t be too hard since graham needs every republican vote to get re elected. It would be suicide for him to vote against the president. Mitch can do this!

I believe President Trump will win, but if not its going to be a long time before the Republicans get another chance to nominate an SCJ.

Need to do it and to hell with the shrieking from the left. These are the same bastards who tried to take down the President with their bogus impeachment. Mitch needs to shove it down their throats. This is Mitch’s moment.

Hi Jim. In my lifetime the Senate has never failed to disappoint.

I do not agree, ONLY BECAUSE I don’t want America to take its focus on leftist terrorism.

“An interesting dynamic is that Graham is trending down with Independents in SC and needs a strong SCOTUS fight as head of the Judiciary Committee to win his state. The I's want to send him back, but they don't trust him. He NEEDS this, and it will be interesting to see if McConnell lets him have it.” If McConnell says yes, Graham probably keeps his seat. If McConnell says no, Graham is probably gone.”

My bet is we will hear shortly from grahamnesty that it would be unseemly to do anything before the election.

If Trump nominates a justice, but the waters are muddied so that we lose the Senate and Presidency, we’ll have gained nothing. I say no nominee until after the election.

Linseed has already said he wouldn’t move a SCOTUS Nominee out of his Committee in a Presidential Election Year.

That's a strong likelihood, but I think if he doesn't move on it, he's done. He's broken faith with the voters in SC, and they're ready to move on.

it’s critical to fill this slot before the election, or otherwise it will motivate leftists to vote in droves ...

“Why are so many posters not aware of the job Mitch has done in senate for Trump’s nominees?”

Perhaps they are really disruptors.
