We have to re-elect Trump and keep control of the Senate. That’s all there is to it.

What is politics but getting what you want. What do we owe the Democrats? Rioting? Covid shut downs? Impeachments? Inpugnment of every institutions that we hold dear? F- um. F-um big time.

An interesting dynamic is that Graham is trending down with Independents in SC and needs a strong SCOTUS fight as head of the Judiciary Committee to win his state. The I's want to send him back, but they don't trust him.

He NEEDS this, and it will be interesting to see if McConnell lets him have it.

If McConnell says yes, Graham probably keeps his seat. If McConnell says no, Graham is probably gone.

He’s going to need a lot of vocal support for the challenge ahead.

Exactly right. Why are so many posters not aware of the job Mitch has done in senate for Trump’s nominees?

Romney will vote against whoever Trump nominates. As well as Susan Collins.

Even so, get the process started and let the dems try to Kavanaugh Amy Coney Barrett in the weeks before the election. Bludgeon the vulnerable democrat senators with the dems‘ disgusting confirmation antics. Also, I assume the left already has a number of cities ablaze tonight over the mere speculation.

You can bet that Romney, Murkowski, and Collins will oppose.

That makes it 50. Then Vice President Pence cast the tiebreaking vote.

McConnell is Paul Ryan with more skill. I doubt president Trump has finished pulling the splinters out of his chest from that impeachment trial barrel Mitch had him bent over.

Mitch is one of the most deft politicians around and he about as uniparty deep state as it gets.

These people are our friends - they are ruthless power hungry politicians the same as always.

McConnell and Ryan could have put a stop to lots of crap early on and had they done so the Wall would be largely done.

But thanks for telling what to think and say. You're a real thought leader - tell me some more about Senator Sessions and how great he is.

So what would happen if there is an election dispute and then a 4-4 tie in the Supreme Court? Trump and the republicans must nominate and confirm a justice to avoid this. The country demands it. Mitch better whip the senate in line with that argument. We can not face a 4-4 tie on a Michigan or pa election ballot dispute. It will be civil war. Currently, the Republicans are appealing the Michigan and PA decision To allow vote counting to continue after Election Day. The republic deserves a decision on that, not a tie. Republicans need to man up.

The easiest nominee to get through senate vote would be one of the republican senators who is popular.

It won’t happen. To many legal ways to delay the process, hearing, etc.

He needs to push the Trump nominee through, the Democrats intend to take the election to the courts.
