The first time I saw the ones in Bemidji was almost 40 years ago, which is kinda mind blowing, now that I think about how much time has passed since then.

The poster asked where that picture of Paul & Babe was and it IS the Bemidji one. Perhaps you misunderstood the query?

Once upon a time, kids knew all about Paul Bunyan and his blue ox Babe; sadly they no longer teach American myths and legends in school. Today, kids don't know anything at all about any of this.

I’m not sure what the poster meant. The “Big” blue ox was in Brainard. Considerably bigger than our Babe. I agree that ours is the one that gets the most publicity... also the original one. Oh well....
