Yes, but the backlog and limited airports offering approval sucks.
Agree totally. Worth every penny.
Global Entry, lol ,lol, lol.
Now that is a government program. My wife and I applied for Global Entry on 1 July 2019. For six months, there were a total of Zero appointments combined in Houston, Dallas, Austin. Then, we finally got appointments, a 5 hour drive one-way from us. The government canceled our appointment. Eventually we got another appointment in a different city 4 hours away and the government promptly canceled that appointment.
Again, we kept looking and obtained another appointment, 4 hours away. Government canceled that one too. We currently have appointments for 2 November, but I do not for a second believe that will really happen.
The Global Entry folks say, you have 12 months to complete the process or they will cancel your application and provide no refund. I am waiting them to invoke this rule on us next because we are clearly beyond 12 months.
In the entire 14 months I have trying to get global entry, I have never seen an appointment available in Dallas.
We had 2 out of the country trips planned for this year, both got canceled and rescheduled for next year.
