Democrats have begun running up a lopsided advantage in early voting as well as absentee ballot requests, in an election what has seen an unprecedented split on voting strategy and furious attacks by the president on mail-voting.
The advantage is pronounced in the battleground states that will decide the election, and that are attracting candidate visits and a TV air war.
The differential in absentee ballot requests has hit three-to-one in Pennsylvania and North Carolina, two states that President Donald Trump won in 2016 that Joe Biden is hoping to strip back.
The advantage in the Keystone state has extended to ballot requests by people who didn't vote in 2016. A total of 175,000 Democrats who skipped 2016 have asked for ballots, more than double the number of Republicans, Politico reported.
The Democratic lead in ballot requests in Florida – a state Trump carried where Biden is making a run and holding a slight lead in the polls – is 700,000.
A similar dynamic is playing out in Ohio, a state Trump carried that lies just outside the 'blue wall' of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania that Democrats are focused on.
The Democratic advantage has carried over to key counties in Ohio, Statehouse News reported.
In strongly Republican Warren County, Republicans and Democrats are running about even in ballot requests. But Republicans accounted for three times as many requests four years ago.
The notable splits come during an election season when President Trump has repeatedly attacked mail-in voting as 'rife with fraud.' His campaign is in court seeking to stop mail ballots from going to all Nevada voters.
Trump has said mail voters 'cheat,' although evidence of actual mail fraud is rare. He also has attacked the postal service, which is charged with delivering mail-in ballots by election deadlines.

I assume computers are used in counting, meaning they scan barcodes? So wouldn’t they detect multiple voting for the same person? For example a person sending in a mail in ballot and then voting at a polling place. I’m trying to understand how they could cheat and get away with it. If it was that easy then why didn’t they do it in 2016 and made Hillary win?

Because they know that is the ONLY way they can win is by fraud..for every mail in ballot they send add another 50 for Biden, the real votes come on election day when Trump voters show up to the polls like me

I’m betting that the Dems are knocking on doors, filling out applications, getting signatures and mailing the applications. They will be back when it is time to submit the mail-in ballots. Perfectly legal. Is the GOP doing the same?
It takes more than advertising and we can’t match Soros and the rest in that department.
Were these states where ballot request documents were mailed to all voters. One of the Democrat strategies is to increase registered voter participation. In the past they have suffered from Democrats sitting on their hands rather than taking the time to go to the polls.
They are hoping that mailing ballot request forms to all registered voters, in come counties they are filled in awaiting a signature, will induce lazy Democrats to participate.
I think the Trump campaign should have pushed for earlier debates in order to make competency an issue before anyone sends in an early ballot. Biden’s mental state should cause many Democrat voters to sit on their ballots rather than send them in.

They didn’t think they had to cheat in 2016. They thought they had it in the bag.
what matters is what is RETURNED and early IN PERSON voting.
