Went to east Germany and Yugoslavia when they were part of the Socialist Utopia back in the early 80’s.

Later went back after the fall of the wall. Spent a day at the Brandenburg Gate watching families get reunited. Cried alot and laughed alot.
Have chunks of the Wall on display in my home.
I seem to vaguely recall a time when one could just greet a friend - or stranger - and kiss him/her, like Laura does in that video I posted...

At about 9:40PM last night, I heard a low plane going over my house - and it was loud! We were watching TV and I told my son: “I bet that’s Air Force One coming back from Michigan!”
I live 20 minutes southeast of Andrews AFB. We look out the window, into a pitch black night, and there it was - AF1! The tail was lit and you could tell by the size and sheer noise that it was AF1. It was Awesome!

The next day, the President goes to MI and gets a crowd of 12,000, standing room only. Spoke for 80 minutes with energy to spare.
And the polls say Biden has a 5 point lead in MI? Sure he does ;)

I never asked off for Monday and Tuesday since the LV rally was in question. I’m looking at the MI and WI rallies for next Friday but don’t think the timing will work out either. But I’m determined to get to one!
