Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, admitted that a key detail of his article about Trump could be wrong during an interview with CNN on Sunday.
When President Donald Trump canceled a visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris in 2018, he blamed the rain for the last-minute decision, saying the helicopter couldnt fly and that the Secret Service wouldnt drive him there. Neither claim was true,” Goldberg wrote in his piece published last week. According to Goldberg, President Trump was overheard saying he wanted to cancel the trip to the cemetery because its filled with losers.
At least fifteen Trump administration officials who were with Trump on that trip have now disputed the Atlantic report, including former national security adviser John Bolton.
FOIA documents have also definitively proved that Trump’s visit to the cemetery was canceled due to weather. When Goldberg was asked about evidence that the cancelation was due to inclement weather, he admitted that it was likely true.
Im sure all of those things are true, he told CNN.
This admission by Goldberg completely undermines his entire story. Goldberg claimed the trip wasn’t canceled because of weather. Evidence proves this claim is false. Goldberg now admits that weather causing the cancellation is true. Why should we believe anything else in the story when the foundation of it is admitted to be incorrect?

I think most of us, while in general supporting fighting the Communists, thought very badly about the way the war was conducted, especially on LBJ’s watch.
But one of the things the Left has succeeded in doing, is brainwashing future generations of Americans into thinking Vietnam was all Nixon’s doing, they don’t even mention LBJ.
Only a foo took is lie to start with.
The Aisne Marne American cemetery is where men who died in the Second Battle of the Marne (German) offensive of 1918 are buried. 139,000 dead or wounded on both sides over a three week period. Of those, the U.S. lost almost 46,000.
If DJT’s remarks had to do with the utter futility and stupidity of that war, I cannot argue with them.
“I dont know about now, but it used to be when something like this happened over there, the story, along with the writer, conveniently disappeared....”
We get the flip-side of it, since the Atlantic reporter has literally PROMISED more similar stories before the election...and that now means fake stories.
Which is better for a country?
I have a hard time thinking about anything that happened by a socialist government that was better than what has happened in an American government....
“Why should we believe anything else in the story when the foundation of it is admitted to be incorrect?”
should be upgraded to WHY should we believe anything else this person every writes? He clearly chose to lie at least once, and admits it.
No need for liars, except if you want to be lied to.
“I have a hard time thinking about anything that happened by a socialist government that was better than what has happened in an American government....”
Not me, after seeing what this government did to Trump.
Uh...Bob...what’s your answer to billyboy?
My parent believe the INTENTIONAL LIES of the media, not everyone accesses alternate sources. Call them whatever you want, but they’re voting Democrat because of it. That’s why this crap has to end.
This is the same Atlantic that first published the Biden campaign announcement.

The backlash is building.
Exactly. Just when he may need their loyalty.
I’m still hearing the totally disproven story of the prostitutes in France.
For your enjoyment! (We have more fun than the Rabid Violent Left)!!!!

Did they vote for him in 2016? Have they not seen anything he's done? Voting democrat because of that article? I really don't get that? Other than they are slow witted. Sorry.
Key facts, such as everything about the story.
Lies, more lies and damn lies
Look at all the people in the military that immediately believed the story about Trump and the military and look at how the leading Republicans were either quietly agreeing, or not sure - so virtually none of them would flat-out agree with Trump that it was BS.
Whether we like it or not, when the media puts out lies about Trump, there is a HUGE PORTION of Americans that will believe them, and they’re not able to admit that they believe the lies not because they think they’re true, but because they WANT them to be true, in order to validate their already-ingrained notions about him.
One other example: Did you ever wonder why the media never came fully clean about the proven-fake Bush draft-dodging letter in 2004...and continued to let Dan Rather claim it was real and win awards for it (even while we were laughing at him for looking so stupid)? I did, for a while, and then it hit me that there were literally MILLIONS of Americans who would have sat out that election in confusion, if they found out Bush was lying to them...so they had to let it go, in order to stop the election from being a Bush blowout. It’s sickening, but that’s the power they have, even Rather.
