It is amazing the fear mongering around vaccines that goes on this site. Our side is going to be genuinely surprised when time back to normal is delayed because of all the bad mouthing and conspiracy nuts shouting about the vaccines.
The Russian Vaccine is demonstrating antibody and T-cell immunity. It is a good vaccine. If people dont want to take the vaccine — thats fine. Happily in America we are free to be stupid. But the vast majority of Americas are not conspiracy theory oriented and see a vaccine as a way back to normal.
We can disagree politely, but the constant drum beat, particularly with unfounded statements that are scientifically inaccurate coming from our side is mind boggling. After all, we had the Manhattan project that utilized all American ingenuity (and yes I know Einsten is German) and did the unthinkable in a short amount of time — and we celebrated it. Now with the same ingenuity and American spirit and scientific know how — we pan it.
Its is quite disturbing, and disgraceful.
I don’t know about anyone else, but for myself, it’s the prospect of being FORCED into taking it. If producers and the Govt. can keep the element of FORCE out of the equation, I’d bet a lot of people would be much more willing.

I agree. Vaccines are wonderful lifesaving inventions. And I’d even take the Russian one. “Sputnik” it is called—they have a good sense of humor.

This is a corona virus. Not unlike other corona viruses. Taking this vaccine will not necessarily protect you from anything
Can you blame people? The politics of the whole Covid19 situation is clear. There ARE people who cannot be trusted because of their politics and/or avarice. There ARE agencies who have lied and/or misrepresented information about Covid19 treatment, for various nefarious reasons. I DETEST conspiracy theories, but occasionally, they are true.
I agree with you. I never heard anyone here regret having been vaccinated against polio.
