The other advantage of those names is that Joe tries to prove he's not sleepy by being angry. See yesterday's show where he was literally yelling at the teleprompter (not the camera, not the fawning media in front of him). The new nickname, angry Joe, will be fatal.

The problem is he doesn't stop being angry. He can't change on the fly. At one point he was angrily reading "Jill and I held a briefing with scientists (or pandemic specialists or whatever)..." He wanted to be angry about COVID. But he was angry at the wrong point in his speech. He is supposed to be hopeful at that point, later he can be angry at Trump. But he was angry all the way through.

Yesterday he skipped some words, slurred some words, and repeated some words that shouldn't have been repeated. His reading skills may have been ok, but they are fading.

Cute nickname, but what Trump should really be focusing on is showcasing his achievements to the American people, not calling his opponents names like it’s junior high.
