Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Tyrone Crawford said Thursday the team has been given the "green light” to protest during the national anthem during the season.
Crawford told reporters the team is really hoping to make a statement, according to the Dallas Morning-News.
“We definitely [have] the green light on all that, but also just trying to find something that's going to make a boom. It's not just going to be something that people look at it one time and kind of swipe by it, they're like, 'Oh that's great. The Cowboys did that' and swipe by it,” Crawford said.

Ask the Dallas Stars, they’ve already lost a lot of season ticket holders.
So instead of dropping the anthem altogether, they play it specifically for the purpose of disrespecting it.
Eye catching? How about just walking off the field and after graduating from kindergarten come back.
I promise I’ll tune in to the NFL again this season if the Cowboys promise to collectively blow their brains out during the national anthem before Game 1.
Oh great. A Sunday night game to inaugurate the Rams no stadium, and the visiting expansion team wants to make it about their protest.

I like football, I will not go to any channel showing a game, not even for a minute.
And to think, they used to be considered ‘American’s football team’.
I know they would fire a guy for doing this (even though it would be a “protest” just like the players).
But I’d love to be the guy who runs the tape for the national anthem at this game.
As soon as the players start their “thing”., I’d stop the tape. When they stopped, I’d start the tape, if they started again, I’d stop it.
Since there will be no fans anyway, it’s not like you’d be messing them up.
Or put in some really stupid song instead, as soon as they start acting like children, play some children’s song.
Maybe the Stars can move back to MN and be he NorthStars again!

They are charging, full steam ahead, but into the wrong direction. All this energy and planning going to offending their fans.
