BTW, I still commute to the city on Metro North. I spend over two hours a day on a train from Westport, CT to Grand Central and then back again. The passengers are spaced apart no differently than if they were sitting in a restaurant together. The restaurant ban is a bunch of nonsense.
This should be a pretty easy case. Government forced the restaurants to close, a taking of property. That basically falls under eminent domain laws, which means the government forcing the closures is responsible for paying regular market rates. Should be pretty easy to calculate, just look at the past couple years’ of revenue and there ya go!
