Paradoxes happen when what seems real is not -- and is known not to be real by those who act as if it is.

The Left is caught up in their slavish devotion to their false assumptions about the nature of reality.

Property is not theft.

People are not inherently good.

Man's nature is not infinitely malleable.

Sexual identity is not both decided at birth and changeable at whim.

White people are not born racist.

The old Democrat Establishment — Clinton/Obama/Biden — was in danger of being exposed for decades of corruption and treason. They needed Joe to get in there and do some damage control. He’s well past his expiration date, but he is all they had.

On the other hand, if Joe wasn’t in the race at all, perhaps a new face, such as Pete Buttigieg might have stepped up and been seen as a viable future for the party. I’m not a fan of the guy, but I think the Democrat brand would have benefited more from Pete than from Joe.

But the establishment is all about protecting itself from criminal prosecution. Joe has a job to do.

A quarterback needs to be able to run, throw, think. A presidential candidate needs to be able to think on his feet, answer questions, persuade, use logic, and get elected based on some of the above and his appeal.

Biden doesn't check many boxes.
