Sullivan may be following Obama's orders to prevent Flynn from playing any role in the Trump administration. If Trump is defeated, will he end the prosecution? Or will he continue it out of a sadistic delight in inflicting pain on Gen. Flynn?

I can see Flynn playing a valuable role in a second Trump term, but the prosecution will probably have to be over. And it would be vital for the Republicans to maintain control of the Senate.
