Open carry should be and is legal..but I find open carry a bit vulgar. It freaks people out and lacks discretion. I find conceal a better option IMHO.

There is nothing vulgar about open carry. If someone is freaked out by it, they're the one with a problem and they should seek help. There are people freaked out about people wearing a MAGA hat. Again, their problem, not the wearer's problem. There are people freaked out about others eating meat. Does that mean we should stop eating meat in restaurants? I'm not going to change my lifestyle to suit some sensitive snowflake's feelings.

I get the sentiment. Perhaps it is context. Open carry in Alaska is a somewhat different proposition then strolling into a big city bank with a Glock strapped to your belt. Both should be legal but a little discretion never hurts.

I’m all for Open Carry because I believe in that Constitutional thingy. You know, the thing. (in my best Joementia Biden)

I support it, but I also don’t think it’s a great idea in practice, preferring to Conceal Carry.

The reason I feel this way is because Open Carry makes you the first Target of a Criminal intent in neutralizing an obvious threat while he commits a Crime.

Carrying Concealed gives you the element of surprise and the Perp has to worry about what he doesn’t see, not what he does see.

Just my $.02, your Mileage may vary.
