I’m surprised she has last as long as she has in CPS. I have not talked with her in several years, but know a couple of people who said she is still in that unit. It has to be difficult.
There is no simple, or in some cases humane way, to handle violent psychotic crime. And in far more cases than the other, there doesn’t seem to be any way to combat the actions except permanent lock down or termination. We do it with animals all the time and consider it useful. When a human, who is an animal, turns violent, is it almost the same as they no longer have the ability to reason? And that ability is the only thing that separates us from the higher animal forms.
