You know, in spite of the fact this has become the accepted mythology, none of that is true.
WMDs were found. Not mass storage depots, no. But then we knew Iraq was getting them out of the country before the invasion.
But that's not the main thing. We didn't go to war to because Iraq had large stored quantities of WMDs. That's a myth. It is undisputed that Iraq had made WMDs, had used them, and had the capability to produce more at any time they wanted. The only thing limiting them were the sanctions and inspections. The regime was dangerous no matter how many chemical weapons were in the current inventory.
The sanctions and inspections were breaking down. Other countries in the UN had lost the desire to keep punishing the Iraqi people, and it probably wouldn't have been kept up for much longer. After which the only limiting force on Iraq would be gone.
Iraq never lived up to the terms they agreed to to end the Gulf War. There was no reason to think Iraq would accept any limits in the future. And they repeatedly engaged in small acts of hostility.
The middle east had problems before that, and since that, unrelated to the Iraq invasion. None of the major conflicts going on right now come from the Iraq invasion.
You know, in spite of the fact this has become the accepted mythology, none of that is true.
You need to inform Trump. He says there were no WMDs. Of course as president he would have no way of knowing
Please write to Trump and let him know hes wrong on the Iraq war. George Bush and Bill Kristol were right
