This is very sad. The Left have always wanted to destroy sports because it promotes racial harmony and competition. These players have become pawns.

It’s not the end of sports, it’s the end of professional sports. Neighborhood baseball, football and basketball games will go on. Tickets were getting too expensive and players were becoming spoiled thugs. Now they will have the time to spend time in their communities as they try to figure out what they are going to do for a living.
I agree, and baseball is about as “America” as it gets.

Quite right; now, they make achieving that result look amazingly easy by scamming a bunch of athletes.
Competition demonstrates we are not all the same, and that with effort one can reach new levels of accomplishment. To the dismay of the Left, competition produces the opposite of "equal outcomes".
Your statement reminds me there was a time not long ago that the California school system attempted to defund intramural sports because "it caused too much stress and interfered with the ability to learn". Yeah, right.
